If your organisation has a large group of employees to train, you may find that on-site training best meets your needs. When you schedule on-site training, a Blackbaud instructor conducts training at your organisation. On-site training can consist of the preset Blackbaud curriculum, or you may customise the class by creating your own class outline to best meet your needs.

On-site training is dependent on you providing certain prerequisites, which are:
- Training to take place in a training room and not in the normal office environment. This ensures fewer interruptions.
- Training Room should be set up with Theatre Style seating arrangement.
- A PC for each person to be trained.
- A PC for the trainer, where available.
- Each PC should conform to the current hardware specifications as listed by product in Blackbaud's System Requirements.
- The PCs should have CD drives to load the software or should be networked to a machine that does have a CD drive.
- PCs should have a least 75MB of free hard disk space to load Raiser's Edge and sample data.
- The software should already be loaded stand-alone on each PC with the sample database before the day of the training. If the software is not installed, then extra time will have to be booked to allow the trainer to set up the machines.
- A whiteboard or flipchart would be useful.
- A data Overhead Projector and a screen in the room on which the trainer can clearly project images from his PC.
