Onsite Training Options
You don’t have to go anywhere to get tailored face-to-face training from our team; we’ll bring our knowledge to you. Your whole organisation can benefit from onsite training using your own data and covering topics that are important to you. We’ll work with you to devise the perfect curriculum and hands-on exercises so that when we leave, your employees are confident in both the system and their ability to use it. Training is delivered at your organisation or in our dedicated training rooms in either London or Glasgow.
We offer personalised training for The Raiser's Edge, Blackbaud NetCommunity and The Patron Edge. Training is normally delivered using the sample database,and so long as our trainers can review your database on a copy of your own data too.
One-to-one Remote Training Options
Blackbaud offers one-on-one online instruction for those who have very specific, or task-oriented, training needs. Sessions are tailored to the stated objectives of the learner and can be scheduled for as little as two hours. You are able to train on either the Blackbaud Sample Database or a copy of your live data. Contact your account executive or email training@blackbaud.co.uk for more information.
Successful on-site training is dependent on you providing certain prerequisites, which are listed below for each solution:
The Raiser's Edge and Blackbaud NetCommunity:
- Training to take place in a training room and not in the normal office environment. This ensures fewer interruptions.
- Training Room should be set up with Theatre Style seating arrangement.
- A PC for each person to be trained.
- A PC for the trainer, where available.
- Each PC should conform to the current hardware specifications as listed by product in Blackbaud's System Requirements.
- The PCs should have CD drives to load the software or should be networked to a machine that does have a CD drive.
- PCs should have a least 75MB of free hard disk space to load Raiser's Edge and sample data.
- The software should already be loaded stand-alone on each PC with the sample database before the day of the training. If the software is not installed, then extra time will have to be booked to allow the trainer to set up the machines.
- A whiteboard or flipchart would be useful.
- A data Overhead Projector and a screen in the room on which the trainer can clearly project images from his PC.
The Patron Edge and The Patron Edge Online
- Training to take place in a training room and not in the normal office environment. This ensures fewer interruptions.
- For PE training - A PC for each person to be trained (For PEO specific training – Delegate PC’s are not required).
- A networked PC for the trainer, with access to PE and the Internet.
- Each PC should conform to the current hardware specifications as listed by product in Blackbaud's System Requirements.
- Where possible the PCs should have USB sockets to load the software or files should if required.
- For Patron Edge Online the PCs should have access to an internet connection running Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher and be able to access your Patron Edge Online public site and admin site.
- The Patron Edge should already be loaded on each PC and be able to link to a training database before the day of the training (this is usually a mirror copy of your live database). If the software is not installed, then extra time will have to be booked to allow a Technical Consultant to set up the machines in advance.
- A whiteboard or flipchart would be useful.
- A data Overhead Projector and a screen in the room on which the trainer can clearly project images from his PC.
