Instructor Led Instructor

FAQs and Online Classroom Help

Blackbaud Online classroom training courses are instructor-led and offer all the benefits of traditional classroom training, but with greater flexibility — you’ll have more curriculum to choose from, and you can save time and money by staying at your own desk.

After logging into the training, you’ll see a list of participants and a class agenda. The instructor will lead you through a series of slides and exercises to instruct you on the selected topic. To participate, all you need is a web browser, a PC headset, and a few hours to get information you can put to use immediately!  Classes generally last two to five hours and cover a range of topics, including module- and task-specific functionality. Unless otherwise noted, all classes are taught based on the latest release of the software and require access to our Online Classroom Sample database to complete practice exercises. This is installed on your Raiser’s Edge network environment just once, and is used by all future Online Classroom attendees at your organisation.

Online training also features Microsoft’s Live Meeting.   This means instructors can launch a program such as The Raiser's Edge on their computer while you view the program at your location.   You will also be able to ask and answer questions. If you like, you can even share your desktop with the classroom for shared learning!

My Internet connection is very slow

Usually, the cause of a poor or slow connection is a lack of capacity, or “bandwidth,”. To improve your connection:
Close any applications you don’t need during training.
Avoid downloading files or browsing the web while in class.
