Welcome to The Raiser's Edge Enterprise 7.84. Before you begin to use the program, please take a moment to review the following notes, which highlight some of the new features and enhancements. It is important to share this information with all Raiser's Edge users in your organisation. A shortcut to the Release Notes for The Raiser's Edge has been added to your desktop, so you can access these notes at any time.

Legacy Gift Tracking

  • With Legacies, in addition to cash gifts, you can now apply payments with a gift type of Stock/Property, Gift-in-Kind, or Other to your legacy gifts.  To apply a gift to a legacy gift from the legacy gift record, select Gift, Add Revenue Realised from Legacy Gift from the menu bar.

  • On the legacy gift record, the new Realised Revenue tab displays all payments applied to the legacy gift. At the bottom of the tab, the Total Realised field displays the sum of the revenue amounts associated with the legacy gift. For more information about Legacies, see the Legacies Guide.

Reports

  • With Legacies, you can now include the Total Realised column in the Legacy Gifts Report. This column displays the sum of the revenue amounts received and applied to each legacy gift. For more information about the Legacy Gifts Report, see the Reports Guide.

eReceipts

  • You can now configure The Raiser’s Edge to send gift receipts by email without having NetSolutions or Blackbaud NetCommunity installed. In Mail, you can use the eReceipts tab to create a Microsoft Word merge template to use for the PDF file you send as an email to your clients. For more information, see the Mail Guide.

Windows Server 2008

  • The Raiser’s Edge 7.84 is now compatible with Microsoft Windows Server 2008.
