Steve MacLaughlin, Director of Internet Solutions, presents a view of not-for-profits in 2015 (panel discussion) - 12.10pm Tuesday 11th October

2015 is a few years away, but it’s also closer than you might think. How will the sector be different? How will supporters expectations be different? What will the role of social, mobile, and community play? What can organisations do about it today? This plenary will bring together some different voices and perspectives for a spirited panel discussion. Real people with real ideas across the not-for-profit sector. It won’t be your ordinary conference session of talking heads.

Steve MacLaughlin is the Director of Internet Solutions at Blackbaud and is responsible for leading how the company provides online solutions for its clients. He has spent more than 12 years building successful online initiatives with a broad range of Fortune 500 firms, government and educational institutions, and nonprofit organisations. Steve serves on the Nonprofit Technology Network (NTEN) Board of Directors and supports its focus on both the growth and professionalism of the nonprofit technology field as well as building knowledge and information sharing capacity throughout the sector.

Steve’s thoughts on leveraging the Internet were published in the book People to People Fundraising: Social Networking and Web 2.0 for Charities. Steve earned both his undergraduate degree and a Master of Science degree in Interactive Media from Indiana University.
